Fresh veggies are simply the best.    It is amazing the difference in taste of canned green beans and fresh.   Not to mention the difference of sodium levels.  I can make these Thai stir fry garlic green beans in about the same amount of time required to heat a can of green beans.

These garlic green beans Chinese stir fry is a healthy choice any day.  Serve them with BBQ Chicken Pineapple Skewers or our Chili Lime Shrimp Skewers.   Or you could pair them with our Asian Beef lo Mein  or our Chinese Beef and Vegetable Stir fry

 NOTE: Also be aware Thai red chilies do contain a good bit of heat.  So you might wish to go lightly on the chilies unless you are hot chile lovers.   

 

Thai spicy green beans recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces green beans
  • 1-2 dried Thai spicy red chilies (could use red pepper flakes)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • salt
  • black pepper

 

Equipment needed:
  • Wok
  • Wok utensils
 

How to stir fry fresh green beans:

Instructions:

  • Heat the olive oil in a wok or large skillet.
  • Add the crushed Thai Chiles and  green beans and stir fry until almost done (about 5-6 minutes)
  • Add the minced garlic and stir fry for 1-2 minutes longer. 
  • Season with salt and  black pepper to taste.   Serve immediately
