Every other year the girls in the family have a family reunion that is only women. It’s a total girls weekend where we can have breakfast in our pajamas and laugh and play games until the wee hours of the morning.
Where we can do girl things and where great food and drinks flow freely. We have everyone there from our mothers to our elderly aunts to the youngest adult ladies of the family. No kids nor boys allowed. It’s a time for us to just be us without the pressures of parenthood or housework. It’s a time for us to connect with each other and do what girls do. The laughter is abundant and our sides ache afterward from all the big belly laughs.
Our latest trip we had an amazing weekend in Galveston where we stayed in a gorgeous beach house just steps from the beach. Watching the sun rise over the Gulf of Mexico was so peaceful especially with a delicious mimosa in hand. And this year the mimosas were extra special with these cool umbrella Straws.

We love a nice Mimosa, it always makes the day special. It’s just a lovely little treat that is a must for any brunch and a great way for a little extra pampering. Adding the Grand Marnier is an option but to me, it’s an absolute necessity. Pamper yourself at this time of the year, (ok at any time of the year) and enjoy some Mimosas whether it be a Friday or even a Tuesday.
