berry pancake syrup

A few weeks ago, the hubby and I had to be in Town early, so after our appointment, we stopped in at one of American’s favorite breakfast houses for a bite to eat.     While we were awaiting our order, I was enjoying examining their array of flavored syrups.  Doesn’t it make breakfast so much more enjoyable to have choices of specialty syrups and toppings for pancakes, waffles or crepes? I felt like a kid in a candy store.

Homemade Blueberry Syrup

Of course, Blueberry Syrup is one of my favorites and I thought, how hard could this be to make.  We would love waking up out here at the Ranch and treating ourselves to a specially berry pancake syrup.   But not one of those “artificially” flavored ones, I wanted to make a flavored syrup using the real thing.  So after a few attempts, I accomplished just that.  And whether you use frozen berries or fresh berries, this homemade Blueberry Syrup is easy and delicious and requires only 3 ingredients other than water.   You gotta try making your own homemade blueberry syrup!

This is such an easy recipe and it’s a shame we haven’t tried it before.  It’s so easy to have frozen blueberries around and to whip up this easy berry pancake syrup for those amazing pancakes or waffles.   You could also add additional whole blueberries to your syrup.
