How to make your BBQ Labels:
- Start by printing out my free BBQ labels on plain copy paper. You can get those Printables by clicking HERE. You don’t want to use thick paper like cardstock for these labels because they won’t stick to the bottles when you put together your condiment display. After you have printed out the labels, cut each one out along the outer border. Then set them aside as you prepare your get your BBQ Condiments List items together.
- To attach your bbq labels to your condiment bottles and plastic cups, there are a few different methods to choose from. My favorite is a CraftBond glue stick. While CraftBond looks like a regular glue stick, it’s so much better! This amazing glue will stick anything to anything, which makes it perfect for sticking your labels on the bottles and glass or plastic cups. Simply rub a thick layer of glue on the back of each label and stick it onto the sides of the bottles. And the best thing about CraftBond is that you can reposition the labels after you stick them on – just in case you don’t get it straight the first time!
- If you’re in a pinch and don’t have any CraftBond on hand, you can also stick the labels to the jars using a low-temperature glue gun or clear packing tape. To hot glue the labels, carefully put the low-temp glue on the back of labels then stick them to the bottles and cups. And to use tape, place a piece of clear tape over the top of the labels, making sure that the edges of the tape overhang the edges of the label. Then tape the label to the bottles and cups.
There are a variety of ways you can display your condiments on your hamburger and hot dog bar. For sauces, like ketchup and mustard, I suggest you use a set of clear squeeze bottles. They’ll help dress up your table while also keeping the messy sauces contained.
To hold larger, solid condiments – pickles, relish, and onions, for example – clear plastic cups or glass jars are a great option. The clear plastic will allow your guests to easily see what’s inside, along with the help of your cute labels, of course! Just be sure to include a spoon or fork inside each cup to make it easy for your guests to scoop out their favorite condiments.
We hope you enjoy DIY BBQ Labels and have many cookouts this summer.
