How to mix this Orange Christmas Eggnog:

Mixing the Holiday Eggnog

In a large pitcher combine eggnog, milk, orange juice, rum, and orange liqueur (or Tanori syrup).  Cover and store in refrigerator for several hours prior to serving to allow flavors to blend.

orange zest for our Orange Eggnog

Using a grater or an zester, zest one orange saving the zest in a bowl for garnishing your Orange Eggnog.

We love to use freshly grated nutmeg and we believe it is so much more flavorful than the purchased ground nutmeg. And  Whole nutmeg can be found at your local market or ordered online and these nutmeg graters are also found online.

To serve, pour the eggnog into small glasses or mugs and adjust the amount of rum.  And sprinkle the top with the orange zest.   Then use a nutmeg grater to grate the desired amount of fresh nutmeg over the top. Serve with cinnamon stick if desired.

We hope you enjoy this semi-homemade orange eggnog this holiday season.   Also adding just the correct amount of spiced flavor with the nutmeg.
