Garlic Herb Cheese Ball covered with chopped pecans. This is an easy garlic and herb cheese ball recipe which uses two cheeses and several different fresh herbs. It’s gorgeous and can be served as a game day snack, New Years Eve appetizer, or a Christmas cheese ball.
We have noticed that Cheese Balls are making a comeback. I remember them from the 60’s or 70’s being served at cocktail parties. But now they are made with an array of flavors and ingredients. They can be sweet or savory and are usually served around the holidays or on game days. And it could be served alone with a side of crackers or the star of the show on any filled charcuterie tray.

We make this garlic herb cheese ball recipe with several different fresh herbs but feel free to adapt it to your tastes. We love using all the different herbs for a powerful punch of flavor. But if you use different herbs, we recommend that the ratio of 8 tablespoons of fresh herbs to 16 ounces of cream cheese be maintained or you will lose most of the flavor. Also the garlic and onion seasonings are a necessity in our opinion.
