Meatball Sub Bites Recipe:
Ingredients
- 8-ounce package crescent roll dough
- 16 frozen meatballs
- ½ cup marinara sauce, divided
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon parsley
- ½ tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
Equipment Needed:
- Pizza Cutter or Sharp Knife
- Cutting Board
- Sheet Pan
- Parchment paper
- Basting Brush
How to make Meatball Sub Bites with frozen meatballs and crescent rolls:
Preheat your oven to 375° F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into the triangles. Using a pizza cutter (or sharp knife), cut each triangle in half to form two smaller skinnier triangles.
Cut each slice of cheese into four strips and place one strip on each crescent roll triangle. Place one meatball on the widest end of each crescent roll triangle strip. Place a small amount of the marina sauce in a small bowl and brush each meatball with the sauce.
Roll the crescent dough with cheese around the meatball and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Continue with all the rest of the meatballs.
Bush each crescent wrapped meatball with the melted butter completely coating it. Measure the garlic powder, parsley, and parmesan cheese in a small bowl and mix well.
Sprinkle the top of each butter coated meatball sub bites with the garlic parsley cheese mixture. Place the sheet pan in preheated oven and. bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until the crescent roll dough is golden brown.
