This is an easy recipe that has all the great flavors of a fried apple pie but it’s made in the air fryer with only a few ingredients. And we topped these fresh biscuit apple pies with plenty of cinnamon and sugar for a classic cinnamon apple dessert.

This air fryer apple turnovers is one of those fall treats to enjoy as a breakfast pastry or for an afternoon snack. There is no mixing of dough nor slicing apples involved. We used premade apple pie filling and canned biscuits for a quick but delicious homemade apple pie.
Air Fryer Biscuit Apple Pies Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 8-count package biscuit dough
- 21 ounce can apple pie filling
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
Equipment Needed:
- Rolling Pin
- Pastry Mat
How to make Apple Turnovers in Air Fryer:
Separate each piece of biscuit dough and use a rolling pin to roll out each biscuit until it’s flattened into a round circle
Spoon a small amount of apple pie filling on one half of the biscuit, leaving the edges of the dough clean.
Fold the other half of the biscuit dough over the top of the filling and use a fork to seal the seam.
Brush both sides of each pie with melted butter and place it on the air fryer tray or basket. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees. Place the apple pie in the air fryer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, until the outside is golden brown and the center is cooked through.
Add the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix until well combined.
Allow the air fryer biscuit apple pies to cool for about five minutes. Then brush both sides with butter and sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon mixture over both sides of the pies.
Serve warm or you could allow the sugar sprinkled apple pies from the air fryer to cool completely before serving.
