This easy air fryer donut recipe uses canned biscuits and butter, and your choice of cinnamon sugar, powered sugar, or pumpkin spice to make delicious donuts in just minutes
This is a super quick and easy donut recipe using your air fryer. It takes only 5 minutes to prep these donuts from canned biscuits and only 6 minutes to air fry them.

After air frying, the donuts can immediately be dipped in your favorite sweet seasoning mixture. Can you imagine easy powdered sugar, cinnamon, or pumpkin spice donuts in your air fryer? Oh yum!
Air Fryer Donut Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 tube of refrigerated canned biscuits
- ½ cup melted butter, divided
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (or pumpkin spice etc)
Equipment Needed:
- Air fryer (you can also use a Ninja Foodi)
- 1 inch cookie cutter
- Basting Brush (for butter)
- Small bowl (for melted butter)
- Bowl (for dipping into sugar and seasonings)
Air Fryer Donut Toppings:
- Cinnamon Sugar-add 1 Tablespoon cinnamon to ½ cup sugar
- Powdered Sugar- Use 1 cup of powdered sugar
- Pumpkin Spice- 1 Tablespoons pumpkin spice to sugar
- Vanilla Glaze – 1 c. powdered sugar, 2 oz. milk, ½ tsp. pure vanilla extract and drizzle over tops
- Chocolate Glaze- Mix ¾ c. powdered sugar,¼ c. unsweetened cocoa powder, 3 Tbsp. milk and drizzle over tops
- Sprinkled Donuts – Shake sprinkles over any of the glazed donuts
How to make the Best Air Fryer Donuts:
Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees. Separate the biscuit dough into eight biscuits and lay them out on a cutting board. Use a 1 inch cookie cutter to cut out the center of each biscuit.
Evenly space the donuts in your air fryer basket or tray and brush with melted butter.
Place the donuts in the preheated air fryer for 5 to 6 minutes until donuts are golden brown.
NOTE: You can also cook the donut holes for 3 minutes.
Meanwhile measure ½ cup sugar in a bowl big enough to dip the donuts. Add either 1 Tablespoon of cinnamon if making cinnamon donuts or 1 Tablespoon pumpkin spice if making pumpkin spice donuts. Or measure 1 cup powdered sugar in a bowl for powdered sugar doughnuts.
Remove the donuts from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly. Brush them with the remaining melted butter and immediately dip each donut in the sugar cinnamon mixture, coating both sides.
Serve immediately.
