I just found out about these Old El Paso Cinnamon Toast Crunch Taco Shells. Have you seen them? I am just imaging all the possibilities for fillings in these fun dessert tacos. You could fill them with ice cream, cheesecake, fresh strawberries, chocolate pudding, and the list goes on. But today we are making things easy by making a Fall desert or snack using apple pie filling and caramel. Perfect for this time of the year right?

You can take only 4 store-bought ingredients and turn it into these delectable dessert tacos. We used cool whip and placed it in a piping bag for this presentation but the canned whipped topping would work just a well. Now just take a bite into one of these crunchy cinnamon flavored taco shells with sweet apple pie filling drizzled with caramel. Isn’t this just the most unique fall snack?
Apple Pie Tacos Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 10 Cinnamon Toast Crunch taco shells
- 1 21 ounce can apple pie filling
- 8 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed
- Caramel sauce
Equipment Needed:
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Microwave safe baking dish or bowl
- Knife
- Cutting Mat
- Piping Bags, optional
How to make Caramel Apple Tacos using Cinnamon Toast Crunch Taco Shells:
Preheat your oven to 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Open the cinnamon toast crunch taco shells and evenly place them on the baking sheet. Place in oven and bake for 3 to 5 minutes, until warm and crispy.
While the taco shells are baking, spoon the apple pie filling into a microwave safe bowl. Cut the apple slices into smaller bite-sized pieces, then heat them in the microwave for 30 seconds, until warmed through out.
Remove the taco shells from the oven and carefully spoon the warmed apple pie filling into the taco shells.
Top each dessert taco with the whipped topping. You can either spoon dollops of topping on top or use a piping bag for a more decorated presentation.
Drizzle as much caramel sauce as you like over the top of each taco.
Serve these caramel apple tacos while they are still hot and enjoy!
