This Bahama mama slushy contains two different rum flavors and is garnished with a slice of fresh pineapple and cherries. It’s colorful, delish and you can leave the rum out for a Bahama mama mocktail without alcohol. Frozen Bahama mama recipe:
Ingredients for rum version:
- 12-ounce container frozen orange juice
- 12-ounce container frozen pineapple juice
- 17-ounce can coconut water or 2 cups plain water
- 6 ounces white rum
- 6 ounces coconut rum
- 2 cups ice
- 6 ounces grenadine
- Pineapple slices and cherries for garnish, optional
Ingredients for Bahama Mama Mocktail version:
- 12-ounce container frozen orange juice
- 12-ounce container frozen pineapple juice
- 17-ounce can coconut water
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
- 2 cups ice
- 6 ounces grenadine
- Pineapple slices and cherries for garnish, optional
Equipment needed:
- Blender (strong enough to crush ice)
- Tulip shaped cocktail glasses
- Festive Straws
How to Make a Bahama mama slush:

Add all the ingredients except the ice and grenadine to the pitcher of a blender. Blend until smooth.
Add the ice to the blender and blend until the ice is completely crushed and has a slushy texture.
Pour the Bahama Mama mixture into tulip shaped glasses or hurricane glasses. And drizzle one ounce of the grenadine on the inside of each glass. You want to make sure it shows through the glass for the gorgeous effect.
Garnish your Bahama Mama Slushy with a slice of pineapple, a maraschino cherry and a festive straw. Cheers my friends!!
