I have been working on several different possible patterns for a Barbie doll hat. I was finally able to crochet these adorable Easter Hats. I can’t wait to make some more for the beach outfits I am planning for the summer.
I had made a couple of cute dresses for my Granddaughter’s Barbie for Easter. I basically used the St Paddy’s Barbie Dress pattern and made these adorable Easter dresses. But to be true Easter Dresses they needed Easter hats
Crochet Hat Pattern

Rounds 4 though 7; single crochet (24 stitches)
8th Round; single crochet twice in each stitch
9th Round: two single crochet in first stitch, 1 single crochet in each stitch for the next 6 stitches; repeat this pattern 5 more times ending with two single crochet in same stitch, 1 single crochet in the next 4 stitches, join with slip stitch

The little hats can be decorated with either ribbon, small flowers or as I did, crochet a contrasting color around the crease of the hat leaving room to tie ends into a bow.

Hi there, they are adorable! So are the dreseess! Just a little note...for everyine who said they didnt think they could make one of these adorable hats, yes you can! You most definatly can learn to crochet! I had surgery and was laid up in bed and bored beyond words. Someone brought me a skein of yarn and a "teach yourself to crochet book" and I was off and running... it seems complicted when you first try to read the patterns, but its not, just try it, you can do it! And you'll be so glad you did, it's so fun I can't stop. :),

Oh, these are lovely. I suppose it's a good thing I have only grandsons, as there is no way I could manage to make one of those adorable hats. Maybe I'll have to learn to crochet before I have a granddaughter. :D
