Simple, Simple, Simple is what this little dress is.  I made it in less than two hours and my granddaughter will love it.   I started it with the same crochet barbie clothes pattern as the Barbie tutu and just added the skirt.

Materials needed for one Barbie doll Crochet Dress:

Equipment Needed

How to crochet Barbie Dress:

Green Yarn

  •  Round one:  With green yarn, work 30 single crochet stitches around the green pony tail holder, join with a sl st in the first sc.
  • 2nd round:  Chain 2 then Double crochet
  • 3rd  round: Chain 2 then Double crochet in the next stitch, dc2 tog: continue this same pattern: At the end of the round, you should have decreased to a total of 11 stitches.   Continue double crocheting until bodice measures 2 1/2  inches.

Change to white yarn-

  • Round one with white yarn: Triple crochet two times in each stitch (chain one between each triple) Triple Crochet for the next four rounds ( Skirt should measure about 2 1/2 inches) tie off.
  • For necking, using white yarn single crochet around the pony tail holder, tie off.  Lay dress flat to determine the location of the neck ties.
  • First neck tie: Single Crochet 3 stitches, turn, single crochet two stitches, turn, single crochet one stitch, then chain 25 stitches, tie off.
Repeat for second tie.   (I skipped five stitches between the ties for the front neckline).
     Work in all loose threads.

I also found a little shamrock button and sewed it on the waist of the dress.

    1. That dress is SOO cute!! I can't believe how fast you made it. I'm not good at crocheting…I can only do a scarf really lol…but would love to be able to make more 🙂

    2. Very nice pattern. I made a lot of clothes for my daughter's dolls. All grown now. Waiting for granddaughters now. I will keep this pattern in mind when that time comes.

    3. I am a new crocheter and it would be helpful to me to know what gauge is needed and what kind of yarn (DK, worsted, etc) Thanks. Your patterns are very cute.
