New Orleans Beignets

Beignets are a classic New Orleans Pastry, they are similar to a doughnut but are square and without a hole.  Some beignets are just tossed with powdered sugar but they are best served  in a typical Café du Monde fashion with plenty of  powdered  sugar pilled on top.  Do you wish to know how to make beignets like the French Quarter Beignets?    We have you covered with these this easy beignet recipe.

French Quarter Beignets

Bringing the soulful spirit of New Orleans to your kitchen has never been easier with this beignet recipe.   Transform simple ingredients like yeast, flour, and evaporated milk into a classic New Orleans delight.  The key to this delicious New Orleans Pastry is that they are deep-fried.    We mix a simple beignet recipe dough, let it stand in the fridge overnight.   Then we remove it from the fridge, roll it out and cut the dough into squares.  Then fry in an electric deep fryer filled with hot oil.  And as soon we remove them from the oil, we pile powdered sugar on top for the best beignets outside of New Orleans.
