This glass of cold brew is topped with homemade peppermint whipped cream that is amazing. This combo of chocolate, peppermint and whipped cream along with your caffeine fix is a must have during this festive season.
What you need for this Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew:
Ingredients for the cold brew:
- 1 cup coarsely ground coffee
- 4 cups cold water
Ingredients for the chocolate peppermint cream:
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup, more to drizzle
- ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Ingredients for the Topping:
- Peppermint candy, crushed
- Can of Whipped cream
Equipment Needed:
- large pitcher or Carafe
- coffee filter (use with a canning funnel)
- milk frother or hand mixer
- 4 glasses
- Straws
How to make cold brew coffee:
Combine the coffee and water in a carafe or large pitcher. Place it into the refrigerator and allow to chill for at least 12 hours or up to 24 hours. After chilling, pour the coffee through a coffee filter to strain out the grounds. Tip: Use a canning funnel to hold the filter in place.
Make the chocolate peppermint cream by combining the heavy cream, milk, chocolate syrup, peppermint extract, and sugar. You can use a milk frother or hand mixer to mix the ingredients until frothy.
Hold the glass at an angle and turn it as you drizzle insides with chocolate syrup. Fill your glass with ice cubes.
Pour the cold brew coffee into the glass until its about ¾ full.
Fill the remainder of your glass with the peppermint whipped cream and stir to mix.
Add spray whipped cream to the top of this delicious chocolate peppermint cold brew. Then sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy and add a couple of festive straws. And enjoy the season!!
