Use a 12 pack of dinner rolls, either Hawaiian Sweet rolls or if you don’t like sweet rolls then you could use these brioche rolls. Cut the rolls and fill them with plenty of turkey and slices of cheese. And then top these baked turkey and cheese sandwiches with a butter/dijon mustard mixture and add a sprinkle of poultry seasoning. Preheat your oven to 350 ° F. and grease and line a 9 X 13 casserole dish with parchment paper. Cut the sheet of sandwich bread rolls in half through the middle. And lay the bottom half of the sandwich bread in the casserole dish and set the top halves aside.
Evenly layer your shredded leftover turkey on top of the rolls in the casserole dish.
Then layer your Swiss cheese slices on top of the leftover shredded turkey.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and dijon mustard over medium-high heat. And whisk as the butter melts to emulsify them together to create a spread for your turkey and cheese sliders.
Place the bread tops over the turkey and Swiss cheese. Then pour your butter/dijon spread over the bread tops and use a pastry brush to coat them all evenly.
Then sprinkle the poultry seasoning evenly over the tops of the buns. Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, until butter is fully absorbed and sandwich tops are lightly browned.
Remove from oven and use a knife to slice into separate sliders. And carefully lift each turkey and cheese slider out of the pan using a spatula and place on a serving plate.
And you could serve these with our Potato Soup or with our Black Bean Soup. Or you could use cheddar cheese or whatever other cheese you have on hand.
Note: Also if you wish you could use rotisserie chicken any time of the year.
