Ingredients
½ cupall-purpose flour
⅛ teaspoonbaking soda
1Tablespooncornstarch
¼ teaspoonsalt
¾ cupunsweetened cocoa powder
½ cupfavorite chocolate chips
1 ¼ cupwhite sugar
½ cuppecans
To Bake the Brownies
5Tablespoonsbuttermelted
3eggs2 whole eggs and yolk of third
1teaspoonvanilla extract
⅓ cupvegetable oil
Instructions
Assembling the jar:
Combine flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt into the bottom of the jar and pack down with a wooden pounder. (or a small glass)
For the next layer, add unsweetened cocoa powder (Hershey’s is best).
Next, add in about a half cup of your favorite chocolate chips. You can use dark, milk, or white chocolate.
For the next layer add white sugar and pack slightly.
On the top add roughly half of cup walnuts (or any other add-in of your choice).
Print the instruction label and tie it on with string or a cute ribbon.
To Bake the Brownies
Preheat your oven to 375° F and spray an 8 X 8 with a non-stick cooking oil
Remove walnuts from the jar (these will be added back later) Pour contents of jar into a large mixing bowl
Melt butter and add to brownie mix, beat eggs and add to mix.
Add vanilla extract and vegetable oil, mix everything well.
Gently stir in the walnuts
Pour into your prepared 8 X 8 pan and bake in your preheated oven for 30 minutes
