Ingredients
19 inchdeep dish pie crustunbaked
115 oz canpumpkin pureenot pumpkin pie filling or 2 cups fresh pumpkin
114 ozsweetened condensed milk
2eggs
1tablespoonvanilla extract
1/2cupbrown sugar
1/4teaspoonground cloves
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonground ginger
1/4teaspoonwhole nutmegfreshly ground
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425
In a small bowl, mix sugar, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg until blended.
Beat eggs in large mixing bowl, whip in pumpkin, vanilla, and sweetened condensed milk.
Add sugar-spice mixture and mix well
Pour into prepared pie crust, cover with a tent of aluminum foil or a pie crust protector ring
Bake for 15 minutes
Reduce oven to 350 and bake for 30-40 minutes until set. (remove aluminum foil or pie crust protector ring just prior to removing pie from oven to ensure a browned crust
